I saw this over on Laura’s blog @ TheBookCorps and it looked so interesting. I really wanted to figure out my answers for all these questions, so here I am. Also check out Laura’s blog for more interesting bookish stuff.
Author you’ve read the most books from:
Wow that’s a tough question because I am not even sure. But it’s probably Steve Berry and James Rollins. I have read the complete Cotton Malone and Sigma Force series because they are so so much fun.
Best Sequel Ever:
Hands down it has to be A Court of Mist and Fury. This is the bestestest sequel I have ever read.
Currently Reading:
I am in a sort of book hangover these days. So, just rereading parts of the Throne of Glass series because I am certifiably obsessed.
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Coffee!!! Loads of coffee… I can’t be feeling sleepy while reading amazing books, can I? So caffeine it is..
E-reader or Physical Book?
Uh Uh!!! No making choices here. I love both and not ashamed of it.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Not sure. It will probably be Jem Carstairs from The Infernal Devices. Hez such a sweet and caring guy, definitely my type 😍😍
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett. It has great reviews but I have hardly seen any hint of it on blogs or booktube. But I am really really happy that I picked it up and this is the best series I read in 2017.
Hidden Gem Book:
Behind her eyes by Sarah Pinborough. I just randomly downloaded it from my library but couldn’t put it down. The ending blew my mind 😵😵
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
When I read My Experiments with Truth by Mahatma Gandhi in high school. I was in a bad place then and this book really brought me out of my depression.
Just Finished:
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
No Horror for me… no scary stuff!!! Also, I do read contemporary sometimes but I prefer the mystery/adventure genre rather than romance.
Longest Book you’ve Read:
Can’t be sure but it might be Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. I read a lot of ebooks, so I don’t really keep track of the size of my books.
Major book hangover because of:
A Court of Mist and Fury.. 🙄🙄… I needed a few days to get out of it. Actually, I am not sure I am totally out of it yet 🤔🤔
Number of Bookcases You Own:
Just one. I mostly own ebooks right now but plan to increase my physical library too.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I don’t even know how many times I have read it.
Preferred Place To Read:
On my couch or sleeping on my bed.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
Here’s one from Crooked Kingdom that gives me all kinds of feels:
“I would come for you,” he said, and when he saw the wary look she shot him, he said it again. “I would come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together—knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.”
Reading Regret:
I don’t think I really regret reading anything coz if I can’t get into something, I usually DNF them. However, the one thing I probably can think of is reading Fifty Shades. An experience I never want to remember.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (all books are out in series):
Probably Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I have read the first and I hope to get to the others sometime soon. I know the last one isn’t out yet, but I can’t think of any others.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Six of Crows duology
Pride and Prejudice
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Anything and everything in the Grishaverse. I am in love. With everyone!!! Alina, Nikolai, Darkling, Kaz, Inej…. You name them, I adore them.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. It’s releasing in 2019, so it’s too far away. But I am already excited 😆😆…
Worst Bookish Habit:
Impulse buying. I have absolutely no control. Can’t go to a bookstore and come back empty handed.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
The books are all packed right now ready for the move. So, I counted on my Kindle and it’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I should get to this soon.
Your latest book purchase:
The new paperback box set of Shadow and Bone trilogy. It came with a beautiful map of Ravka and I love it.
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. I couldn’t stop reading, so had to stay up way way too late. And then it ended, I was left weeping and devastated 😭😭😭
I tag: Anyone… Everyone… Have fun!!!
