So I am totally in a book hangover after reading the Throne of Glass series and haven’t recovered yet. Hence, the constant book tag posts. Can’t write a review till I read something 🙄🙄🙄
I saw this tag at the amazing BookChantedBlog by Rhea and couldn’t resist doing it. I just watched Thor: Ragnarok last week and loved it, so this seems like a wonderful idea. So, let’s get on with it.
ODIN – Favourite Standalone
Odin is the All-Father, the leader of the Norse Gods. He is the god of wisdom, poetry, battle, death, wine, and war, among other things
The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
I read so few standalones that I was stumped at this question. So, I took an escape route. Hobbit was an interesting foray into the world of Middle Earth and I loved it.
THOR – A Book That Hits You Right in the Feels
Thor is the god of thunder, weather, warriors, strength, and storms, so his might packs a punch. He is married to the beautiful Lady Sif.
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
This is actually a long list but I picked the latest book that made me feel very happy and giggly. It was such a breezy read and exactly what I needed.
LOKI – Biggest Plot Twist or Character Betrayal
Loki is the god of mischief and thieves, and thrives on chaos
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
Cant you hear me sobbing and weeping and gasping. What the hell just happened??? I actually read the whole series recently, so I just have to wait another year. But I truly sympathize with all my fellow ToG lovers who read this book when it came out. Please please give me ideas on how to cope.
FRIGG – OTP
Frigg is Odin’s wife, the goddess of love, marriage, fertility, and fate.
I can actually go on and on with so many names here but I am controlling myself and just listing one. Feyre and Rhysand are the best most badass couple ever. I love them, PERIOD!!!
HEIMDALL – Favourite Second in a Series
Heimdall is the god of loyalty, faithfulness and he is who protects the bi-frost, the bridge that connects all nine worlds.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
There has not been a better second book in a series ever. Nothing else. This book is brilliant. And that’s all I am going to say.
BALDUR – Favourite Male Character
Baldur is the beloved son of Odin and Frigg, twin brother of Hodor.
Another loooooooong list to choose from. Sherlock Holmes. Harry Potter. Aragorn. Jem Carstairs. Nikolai Lantsov. Kaz Brekker. Rhysand. Dorian Havilliard. How am I expected to choose from so many wonderful characters??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Ok ok. I give up. I love Rhysand. Hez too good for this world.
SIF – Most Beautiful Book Cover
Lady Sif is known for her beautiful golden tresses, although she is also the goddess of the harvest and is married to Thor.
The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
This book is beautiful. The cover, the spine, every single page – it’s stunning. I would rather stare and admire it than read.
FREY – A Book or Series That Made You Happy
Frey is the Lord of weather, god of light, summer, master of agriculture, fertility, and brother of Freya.
There has never been another book series that has made me happier in my life.
FREYA – Favourite Book Setting
Freya is the goddess of love and beauty, fertility, war, wealth and growth, and sister of Frey.
I am totally in love with this world. I love everything about it. Ravka, Fjerda, Ketterdam… All the places are amazing. I wish I could just visit them for a day.
TYR – Favourite Book With a Huge Upheaval or Epic Fight Scene
Tyr is the god of war.
Lord of the Rings by Tolkien
These books define epic fight scenes. I mean, is there another word that can describe this trilogy? EPIC!!!
ULLER – Character Death That Affected You the Most
Uller is the god of death, winter, archery and hunting.
SOB! SOB! SOB! Why does everyone Harry loves have to die? This death just killed me 😭😭😭
NJORD – Favourite Book With an Epic Journey in a Water/Sea Setting
Njord is the god of the wind and sea.
Sorry. I don’t think I have ever read anything of this kind. Or atleast I can’t remember.
VALKYRIE – Strong Female Character
The Valkyries, much like the Amazons, are strong female warriors.
Celaena Sardothien / Aelin Ashryver Galathynius
She is badass. She is sassy. She has immense mental strength that helped her get through all the horrifying things done to her. Her fights are a sight to behold. But do you know what I love most about her – she is a BOOKWORM 😍😍😍
AESIR/VANIR – Favourite Book Crew
The Aesir and the Vanir are the two groups of Norse gods, believed to be the old and new gods.
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
No one can even come close. The most badass book crew ever. I love them. LOVE THEM ❤️❤️❤️
SEIPYRTS – Favorite Non-Human Sidekick
Seipyrts is Odin’s trusty eight legged steed; yes, you heard that correctly – eight legs. I promise that he is the god’s horse companion and not a giant spider that he rides around on… although that would probably strike more fear in the hearts of his enemies than pretty horse does.
Kiki from Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder
Yelena’s horse is the cutest thing ever. Their mind conversations are super funny. But the best part is the names that Kiki gives everyone she encounters, they are downright hilarious…
This was fun….. I hope you guys enjoy it too 😃😃😃
