I’m living in a perpetual state of confusion this week where I have so many wonderful books that I want to read, but can’t decide which one I should pick up. So, it’s time for a tag and thank you so much Norees @ NoReadsTooGreat for tagging me in this wonderful one. Please checkout her blog for more wonderful posts…!!! It was originally created by the amazing Orangutan Librarian so please go check out their answers as well.
#NOTALL COVER CHANGES – A COVER CHANGE YOU LIKED
Can’t have a post without mentioning my obsession that is Throne of Glass. And I think everyone will agree that the cover change for Book 1 is much more aesthetically relevant to Celaena’s character.
#NOTALL ADAPTATIONS – AN ADAPTATION YOU LOVE MORE THAN THE BOOK
I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I love the Lord of the Rings movies so much more than the books. The books may be considered classics but they are also dense and hard to read and I don’t think I would ever finish them if I pick them up now. The movies are just brilliant (my humble opinion) and I could watch them forever.
#NOTALL TROPES – A TROPE YOU’LL NEVER TIRE OF SEEING
Best friends to lovers is my most favorite trope ever and I could keep reading these books forever. Him is undoubtedly my favorite book for this trope and I think I have personally not read a better childhood best friends to lovers romance – their friendship and love is just beautifully depicted. Other recent favorites with this trope would be Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating and Risk Taker.
#NOTALL INSTALOVE – YOU INSTALOVED THIS INSTACOUPLE
I actually don’t mind instalove as long as the author can convince me that their feelings are genuine. Autoboyography is one such wonderful book where the connection between the MCs is instant and I totally loved them right from the first eye contact 😍😍😍
#NOTALL LOVE TRIANGLES – AN EXAMPLE OF LOVE TRIANGLE DONE WELL
Another trope I love if done well – love triangles. The angst is amazing but I only enjoy it when I can really feel for all the three characters. My top favorite is obviously always going to be The Infernal Devices and Jem/Tessa/Will are my ultimate OT3. The Remnant Chronicles is another wonderful trilogy but it doesn’t have a love triangle in the true sense, more like unrequited feelings from one party. And a very recent favorite is the beautifully written angsty polyamorous relationship in the Confessions series by Ella Frank.
#NOTALL PARENTS – BOOKISH PARENTS THAT, YOU KNOW, PARENT!
I actually had to think for this one because YA books are full of absent or bad parents who are used as a plot device for the MCs character development. But I have decided to mention the slightly embarrassing and pushy but ultimately sweet and adorable desi parents in From Twinkle, With Love and My So-Called Bollywood Life.
#NOTALL VILLAINS – A VILLAIN YOU LOVE

This is a very easy question to answer because I only have one answer. THE DARKLING 💖💖💖💖
#NOTALL CHOSEN ONES – A CHOSEN ONE YOU CAN GET BEHIND
Only one right answer here peeps…. HARRY POTTER…!!!!!
#NOTALL HYPED BOOKS – A BOOK THAT LIVED UP TO THE ACCLAIM

There are very few hyped books that actually didn’t live upto my expectations because I’m a very easy reader to please. But the one that blew me away will always be the Six of Crows duology.
#NOTALL *INSERT FAVOURITE GENRE* – A BOOK YOU’RE NOT KEEN ON FROM YOUR FAVOURITE GENRE
I’m a huge fantasy fan, love reading about female assassins and trust any recommendations from Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes, but despite it’s wonderful reviews, I’m really not interested in the Book of the Ancestor trilogy.
#NOTALL *INSERT LEAST FAVOURITE GENRE* – A BOOK YOU LIKED FROM A GENRE YOU DON’T OFTEN READ
I do read Historical fiction sometimes, but I’m not much into historical romances. But one favorite this year from the genre is definitely The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. Obviously it helped that this book was a best friends to lovers romance and it’s hilarious.

Really agree with you about the TOG cover! Also I agree with you, as unpopular as it is to admit, I prefer the LOTR movies (though I prefer the hobbit book). I love the best friends to lovers trope too. The romance in autoboyography was really cute (even if it was a bit insta) Agree with you about six of crows! Great post!

I like the Hobbit Book too… I just consider the movies to be totally different and unrelated 😂😂

Awesome answers and tag, Sahi!:) I’ve got Six of crows in my TBR- probably will pick up these books as part of my fall reading list. And Ive never read Sarah J Mass’s Throne of Glass series- but do you believe in signs from the Universe that you have to do something? It is like everywhere I see, every blog or booktube vlog or list I read- I find a reference to this series and how great it is! So I’m thinking it is a sign that I really need to read the series 🙂
I also totally agree with your thoughts on Lord of the Rings- I couldn’t digest reading the books, but the movies are like an all time favourite 🙂

The Infernal Devices is the only series where I didn’t really care who she ended up with lol. Jem and Will are both lovely. Although my heart leans toward Will more haha. Love this tag!
