The Greatest Show | In Which The Intro Is Amazing

I would usually never be able to answer this question, but I recently finished Nevernight and that intro still haunts me. The way the author juxtaposes Mia’s first time having sex with first time taking a life is totally unexpected and I sure will not be forgetting that any time soon.

A Million Dreams | In Which Things Get A Little Too Dragged

I am completely in love with the writing of Christina Lauren, but Love And Other Words was one book that didn’t impress me completely. There were parts of it that were very beautiful, but I still felt that the relationship between the MCs in the current timeline was dragged a lot.

Come Alive | In Which There’s A Nice Plot Twist

Just not to repeat the same books, I’m going to say Stalking Jack the Ripper. The plot twist was quite shocking, and even though I guessed just before it happened, it was not something that I expected at all.

The Other Side | In Which A Villain Turns Into A Good Guy or Vice Versa

Prince’s Gambit totally changed the character arc of Laurent. He felt so much like a villain in Captive Prince, but the more we get to know him, we realise his motivations and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him, right alongside Damon.

Never Enough | In Which You Hate The Love Triangle

The mostly unrequited feelings that Javier had for Alex in An Exaltation of Larks don’t really amount to a love triangle, but I just didn’t like that it was Jav whose heart always gets broken.

This Is Me | In Which Representation Is Amazing

Undoubtedly, When Dimple Met Rishi. The joy of seeing yourself represented in mainstream media is truly powerful and this book gave me that feeling in abundance. These two MCs will always have a special place in my heart.

Rewrite The Stars | In Which It’s ‘Us Against The World’ 

Six of Crows / Crooked Kingdom

This duology truly represents the feeling of ‘Us Against the World’ because it’s our favorite dregs against the whole might of Ketterdam as well as the other kingdoms across the realm.

Tightrope | In Which The Love Triangle Took A Wrong Turn

The whole love triangle in Red Queen was a mess. I was rooting for Maven and Mare so much, even though I could feel that Cal would probably end up being the main love interest. But the betrayal really really crushed my heart.

From Now On | In Which The Main Character Only Gets Their Stuff Together In The End

It takes almost the whole story in From Twinkle, With Love for the MC Twinkle to realize some truths about love and friendship and thankfully, she stops herself from doing some things that she would have otherwise truly regretted.
