It’s not been a good blogging week for me and I haven’t read any book interesting enough to review, so I almost decided not to post anything for a few days. However, like always, my dear friend Sara @ The Bibliophagist has come to my rescue and tagged me for this wonderful tag which is all about the magic of words. Go checkout her blog for more awesome bookish posts and I promise, you’ll have a lot of fun.

EFFULGENT | BRILLIANTLY RADIANT
A BOOK WITH A BEAUTIFUL COVER
Absolutely perfect for the current environment of the #MeToo movement, The Women’s War is a much awaited feminist fantasy and I think the cover symbolizes a world in the hands of a woman very aptly. And I’m so excited to have had my wish granted for this ARC on Netgalley.
METANOIA | THE JOURNEY OF CHANGING ONE’S MIND, HEART, SELF, OR WAY OF LIFE
A CHARACTER WHO GOES THROUGH A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION

I have not read a better written character transformation than Laurent from the Captive Prince trilogy. It’s not easy to make one fall completely in love with a character who is so loathsome in book 1 but kudos to Pacat for doing it so convincingly.
SOCKDOLAGER | DECISIVE RETORT; MIC DROP
A CHARACTER WHO ALWAYS HAS A GOOD COMEBACK
Mixed Messages series is one of the funniest trilogies I’ve read but the one character in it who is always ready with a sassy comeback that will make you laugh uncontrollably is Dylan from Rule Breaker.
SESQUIPEDALIAN | CONTAINING MANY SYLLABLES; LONG WINDED
THE LONGEST BOOK YOU’VE READ
I thought it would be Kingdom of Ash but according to Goodreads, it’s still Atlas Shrugged.
EPHEMERAL | LASTING FOR A VERY SHORT TIME
THE SHORTEST BOOK YOU’VE READ
I was surprised to find a lot of books with no page count on my GR shelf but Fence was my expected answer. These issues are too short but I love them and can’t stop reading.
SERENITY | THE STATE OF BEING CALM, PEACEFUL, AND UNTROUBLED
A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU FEEL CALM AND HAPPY
I read way too many angsty books, so probably not a lot of them make me calm. But The Start of Me and You is definitely one of those books which is so cute that it’s me feel all warm and fuzzy.
OBLIVION | THE STATE OF BEING UNAWARE OF WHAT’S HAPPENING AROUND YOU
A NOVEL WITH A COMPLEX PLOT
It’s not exactly the plot but the magic system which is complex and interesting in Foundryside. And it’s described in such detail that left me very impressed.
RANTIPOLE | TO BE WILD AND RECKLESS
A RECKLESS CHARACTER
A lot of the actions of Aelin throughout the series feel reckless, even though we later realise that she actually had a plan.
NEFARIOUS | WICKED, VILLAINOUS, DESPICABLE
YOUR FAVOURITE VILLAIN
The Darkling will always be the most memorable villain, but I have to agree with Sara that Victor Vale from Vicious is quite a compelling villain/anti-hero.
INEFFABLE | TOO GREAT TO BE EXPRESSED IN WORDS
YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK OR BOOK SERIES
This is the toughest question a reader can ever be asked and I get tongue tied every time. This year has given me a lot of favorites but A Spark of White Fire is a special one because it’s based on my all time favorite epic, the Mahabharata.
TROUVAILLE | SOMETHING LOVELY DISCOVERED BY CHANCE
A BOOK YOU DIDN’T EXPECT TO LOVE
I rarely read historical fiction and only prefer the WW2 era, so I went into The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue with almost no expectations. But this is a delightful and entertaining story that gave me one of the most adorable couples, Monty and Percy.
NOSTALGIA | A WISTFUL DESIRE TO RETURN IN THOUGHT TO A FORMER TIME IN ONE’S LIFE
A BOOK OR CHARACTER THAT MAKES YOU FEEL NOSTALGIC
Any mention of Sherlock always makes me nostalgic because he is my first literary hero and The Hound of Baskervilles is probably my first favorite English novel.
I TAG:
Agnik @ Books; A World Between
Kelly @ Another Book in the Wall
Rae @ Thrifty Bibliophile

Thank you for doing this tag! I keep getting really excited as I see more and more having fun with it – and to think, I made it out of boredom ha-ha.
I really want to read Maas’ series – but I have to admit, it seems a little daunting for it’s such a large series. I’ve heard all good things though! I also didn’t think I would fall in love with “The Gentleman’s Guide” book as much as I did! I’m currently reading the sequel…but it doesn’t seem as engaging…we shall see though!
Fence is HIGH on my TBR list – but I swore to myself I would catch up on all the books I already own…oh the woes of being a bibliophile.
Again, thank you for participating and for pinging back my page! I love seeing everyone’s answers! ❤

This tag is such a wonderful idea though.. I love those words you choose and I didn’t know half of them.. so it’s a nice learning experience…
Throne of Glass is definitely quite intimidating… Maybe you can try the ACOTAR series coz it’s a trilogy… they all have their problems but are definitely very entertaining and addictive 😊😊
Gentleman’s Guide was a total surprise.. I have Lady’s guide on my TBR for this month too, let’s see how that goes.. I just wanna see Monty and Percy again though 😉😉
Fence is awesome.. but I would definitely suggest reading all the issues together because they are too short..
but I understand your predicament.. too many books and too little time.. always the same problem for all of us 😂😂

I’m glad you really enjoyed it 🙂
Oh nice! Thanks for the suggestion! Lady’s Guide is okay so far – I keep losing interest though. There’s definitely some Monty and Percy scenes for ya!!
Awe okay…good to know.

I KNOW EH?! I still haven’t found a couple in a book that trumps these two… ❤ ❤ ❤

I have a huge list of favorite couples but these 2 are just so adorable and I want to wrap them up and protect them 😃😃😃
