HOUSE LANNISTER: HEAR ME ROAR
Name a book that you originally loved, but upon a re-read realised that it wasn’t so great after all.
There’s probably a whole bunch of books that I feel this way about, but one I can distinctly remember completely adoring in college and DNFng when I tried to reread it recently is Atlas Shrugged.
HOUSE STARK: WINTER IS COMING
Name your most anticipated book release for 2019.
I have a good bunch of most anticipated books but this sequel to the amazing A Spark of White Fire is definitely on top of my list.
HOUSE TARGARYEN: FIRE AND BLOOD
Name a book that you felt completely slayed with fantastic characters, plot, pacing, etc.
While I would usually answer this question by naming some favorite fantasy book of mine like ToG or SoC, for 2019 I have to undoubtedly go with Red, White and Royal Blue. It’s my top favorite book of this year till date and I still smile wide when I think about it.
HOUSE BARATHEON: OURS IS THE FURY
Name a book that ended with a cliffhanger ending that genuinely pissed you off.
It didn’t really piss me off, but the ending of Descendant of the Crane totally shocked me and I was in a daze for a while because I couldn’t believe it happened.
HOUSE MARTELL: UNBOWED. UNBENT. UNBROKEN.
Name a book, or book series, that’s been on your TBR since the dawn of time.
It has to be the Ember Quartet by Sabaa Tahir. I even recommended it a very close non-blogger friend of mine who finished all three books, and I never even started the first book despite promising her that I would read along with her.
HOUSE BOLTON: OUR BLADES ARE SHARP
Name the most graphic or disturbing book that you’ve ever read.
Kindred is considered a scifi classic but I didn’t think I would ever read it. Then I picked up the graphic novel adaptation for my book club and woah was that a horrifying read. It tackles slavery in all it’s brutality and as a graphic novel, I also had to watch it happening in detail with illustrations. It was definitely a very disturbing experience.
HOUSE TYRELL: GROWING STRONG
Name a book, or book series, that gets better and better with every re-read.
I can’t think of any for this year, but Crooked Kingdom always feel better everytime I listen to it again.
I am not tagging anyone but if you like this tag, please go ahead and do it and link it back to me so that I can see all your awesome answers…
