A book that a certain friend always tells you to read

Aru Shah and the end of time

There are obviously quite a few but one book that my dearest friend Nandini has wanted me to read for quite a while now is Aru Shah and the End of Time. I finally borrowed it from my library and just finished it. So, look out for my review tomorrow 😃😃

A book that has been on your TBR forever, and yet you still haven’t picked it up

Origin

I have mentioned this so many times on this blog, but I haven’t managed to read Origin yet. I even bought it at the time of release (which is quite rare for me) but I just don’t feel like picking it up.

A book in a series you have started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing

img_1192

I’ve only read the first book of this series and I really enjoyed it too, but I really have no reason why I never continued it.

A classic you have always liked the sound of, but never actually read

Fahrenheit 451

I really like the premise of Fahrenheit 451 and even started it once, but never got around to finishing it.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

220px-Crazy_Rich_Asians_poster

I absolutely adored Crazy Rich Asians movie and I’m awaiting it’s sequel. But I don’t think I will be reading the books.

A book you see all over Instagram, but haven’t picked up yet

Internment

This book has been doing the rounds on bookstagram from a long time now, but I’m still awaiting my library copy.

And I remember listening to the audiobook of SJTR and really liking it… I’ll definitely keep in mind for the next one too…

  1. I also really want to read Stalking Jack the Ripper, I’ve heard only wonderful things but I haven’t had the time to start! And I also really loved Crazy Rich Asians, the movie, I love cheesy rom coms sometimes…. They’re great to calm down and envy all the other people haha

    1. SJTR is definitely a lot of fun… and CRA is such a nice movie, I’ve watched it multiple times 😂😂😂 and I completely agree with you, it’s great for when we need a pick me up …

  2. Classics are so hit or miss with me because I really felt like I needed to read Fahrenheit last year and I got through it, but I realized when reading it that I’ve just seen the ideas copied (taken inspiration from) in other dystopia type books. Would still read it again though, but it came with a realization of like “ohh, that’s where it’s from” which I also got with the style Frankenstein was written in

    1. Ahhh I guess I understand the feeling.. so many books have taken their inspiration from these classics… but I never feel much like reading the original… Classics are a hit or miss for me too, so I just don’t feel like picking them up 😊😊
