Folk of Air Book Tag

Welcome back everyone…. I’m here with another super fun tag in which I was kindly tagged by Many Things Bookish and while I’m not a huge fangirl of this series, these questions are totally cool. And do checkout their blog for more wonderful bookish posts.

#1 Tag the original creator! Sandra @Starryskybooks!

#2 Read The Cruel Prince first!

#3 Answer all the questions and tag at least three other bloggers!

Jude: A Character Who Would Probably Kill You In Your Sleep

img_0869

Probably anyone from this series, but I guess Cardan. I don’t really like him, so he might decide to off me just for the heck of it.

Cardan: a character who seems like a bad guy but is ultimately more complex than you thought

girls of paper and fire

Blue from Girls of Paper and Fire felt like a mean girl right from the beginning, but as the story progresses, we get to know her motivations better and see more layers to her character.

Locke: a character (or plot twist) that made you want to throw the book

Wicked saints

The ending of Wicked Saints definitely made me want to throw it – not because it was bad, just that it was kinda heartbreaking.

Taryn: a character who deceived you

I can’t mention the name of the character because it’ll be a spoiler, but this person from Descendant of the Crane did something that just blew my mind away. The level of deception is just wow.

Vivi: a book that was significantly different from the others in its series

Blindsided

I have read very few later books in a series these days but if I had to choose, it would be Blindsided because it’s the only book in the series without a fake boyfriend trope, but it’s also my favorite.

Valerian: a character who just needs to die (or, you know, stabbed)

we set the dark on fire

Definitely Mateo from We Set the Dark on Fire. He is just nasty from the get go.

Oak: a smol character you would protect at all costs

You asked for perfect

He is not really smol but Ariel from You Asked for Perfect is adorable and I want to protect him.

The Cruel Prince: a book that surprised you with a twist

img_1074

That ending of King of Scars. I probably wanted it to happen, but I really didn’t think it would and wow was that a nice surprise.

The Wicked King: a book you thought was better than the first in the series

img_0126

Now this question doesn’t work for me because I didn’t think The Wicked King was better than The Cruel Prince. But my answer would be Heated Rivalry – it’s way more awesome than Game Changer.

The Queen of Nothing: a book you’re excited for but know nothing about

house-of-rage-and-sorrow

The blurb is out but I still have no clue what to expect from the explosive sequel of my favorite YA fantasy from 2018, A Spark of White Fire.
