Literary Dinner Party Tag

I can’t imagine anything more fun than a literary dinner party. So, when I saw this tag done by Anouk @ Time for Tales and Tea, I just had to do it myself. It was originally created years ago by NEHOMAS2.

Rules: You must invite 11 guests, and there must be one from each category.

1. One character who can cook/likes to cook

gilded wolves

There are probably many characters I’ve encountered who love cooking but the one that instantly comes to mind is Leila from The Gilded Wolves. She is the mother hen of the group, loves baking and making sure everyone in the gang is properly fed.

2. One character who has money to fund the party

Ahhh rich guys…!!!! They definitely make for interesting romance heroes. One such guy who has lots of money and can definitely fund many parties, but still loves working for the FBI is Aiden Talley from the Irish and Whiskey series.

3. One character who might cause a scene

Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius is the first person that came to mind. Because, if you have read Throne of Glass, then you already know how much she is capable of making a scene wherever she goes.

4. One character who is funny/amusing

Oz

Talking about fun instantly reminds me of Lily Morton’s books and one of her funniest characters is Oz Gallagher from Oz. I had tears in my eyes from laughing too much at his antics.

5. One character who is super social/popular

red white and royal blue

All the characters in Red, White and Royal Blue are popular icons, but the one who is definitely the most social and flamboyant of them all is Percy Okonjo aka Pez. I just hope we get a whole book about him.

6. One villain

I don’t want any villains at my dinner table except the Darkling. Obviously the only hope is that he won’t go on a rampage.

7. One couple – doesn’t have to be romantic

red scrolls of magic

Well I have a lot of couples whom I would love to invite, but I’m still can’t get over the fact that this couple got their own book and that adorable wedding in the Shadowhunters finale. I really enjoyed reading The Red Scrolls of Magic…. so Magnus and Alec it is.

8. One hero/heroine

I am completely in awe of Lady Tea from The Bone Witch trilogy and I just can’t imagine not having her at this party.

9. One underappreciated character

we set the dark on fire

I just feel the book We Set The Dark on Fire itself is very underappreciated, and especially it’s amazing protagonist Dani. It would be such fun to have her at the party.

10. One character of your own choosing

Shadow of the fox

I’m completely in love with the delightful Yumeko from Shadow of the Fox and it will give me immense joy to host her.
