The NCIS Book Tag

I’m a huge huge fan of detective TV shows or police procedurals, and I don’t even know why because I hardly read mystery novels. And if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I adore watching (and rewatching) NCIS and it’s my go to comfort watch. So, when I saw this tag being done by Sam @ Some Books and Ramblings, I totally wanted to write it immediately. But I waited to post it till today because the latest season of the show just premiered two days ago and I want to celebrate all my excitement…!!!!! Do make sure you checkout Sam’s blog for more amazing bookish content and reviews.

  1. Tag your source! If you were tagged, tag whomever tagged you in your response to this tag so they can see your answers!
  2. Tag someone, tag no one! As long as you have fun, that’s all that matters 😀
  3. Be kind! It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Please be nice to each other, the person tagged, etc. I can’t see how this could go bad, but it’s better to be safe rather than sorry.

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs

Best Group Leader

I don’t like going back to my same old favorites all the time but I can’t help but say Kaz from Six of Crows is the smartest leader I know, who cares about his group of friends a lot but never shows it. And this is similar with the character of Gibbs in the show, especially in the early seasons.

Dr. “Ducky” Mallard

Best Healer/ Doctor

I can’t remember many doctor characters I know (and I don’t wanna mention Yrene from ToG) but Dr. Trisha Raje from Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors is a brillant genius surgeon, while a bit socially awkward.

Dr. Jimmy Palmer

Best nerd/Teachers Pet

red white and royal blue

Both Alex and Henry from Red, White and Royal Blue are complete nerds, but I don’t think Alex would ever be a teacher’s pet because he loves antagonizing everyone with his opinions.

Director Leon Vance

Best Parent Figure

The widows of malabar hill

Jamshedji Mistry from The Widows of Malabar Hill is an amazing parental figure because he completely supports Perveen, wanting her to be independent and educated and practice law despite it being against societal expectations of the times.

Abby Sciuto

Best Scientist and/or Goth

One Giant Leap

Frankly, I can mention everyone from One Giant Leap because they all work for NASA but my favorite is Patrick because he never lets any obstacles in his life prevent him from achieving his goal of being part of a space-related mission.

Special Agent Kate Todd

kate todd

Character who left one group to join another

I think technically Esmae from The Spark of White Fire qualifies because she starts off as someone wanting Alexi to win to slowly realising that she believes in Max’s vision more.

Special Agent Timothy McGee

Best Hacker/Computer Person

Noble hops

Agent Lauren Hall from both the Irish and Whiskey trilogy and Trouble Brewing trilogy. She is brilliant and cheeky and I really hope the author writes a spin-off for her.

Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo Jr.

Best Playboy/Smart-ass

Shadow of the fox

Well, Okame from The Shadow of the Fox is not exactly a playboy but is definitely a smartass who loves irritating the very disciplined and rule following Tatsumi and Daisuke.

Mossad Liaison/Special Agent Ziva David

Best Kick-Ass/Talented Person

Ziva is a totally kick-ass woman and I can’t think of any fictional character who complements her better than Mia Corvere from Nevernight. Both of them can really kill in too many ways for us to comprehend.

Special Agent Ellie Bishop

Best Foodie/Hardest Worker

Dine With Me

I may not have enjoyed reading Dine With Me a lot, but Dr. Clancy Rhodes is the biggest foodie I’ve encountered in my books till now. He just appreciates food so much.

Special Agent Nick Torres

Best at Undercover Work/Trickery

I’m only selecting Cardan from The Wicked King (despite not liking him much) because the way he tricked Jude at the end of the book was masterful and completely unexpected.

Special Agent Jacqueline “Jack” Sloan

Best Analyst/Shoulder to Lean on

I had to think a lot for this one but decided on Lord Arteloth from The Priory of the Orange Tree because I found him to be an amazing person who listens to his friends, lets them share their thoughts and will do whatever he can to ensure his friends are safe.

MI6 Officer Clayton “Clay” Reeves

Best Newcomer/Foreign Agent

Another question I had to think a bit for but I feel June from Vengeful fits the bill because she tries to play both the sides and we can never be sure what her motivations are, especially her obsession with Sydney.

I hope you all loved reading my answers…. I’m not tagging anyone because I’m not entirely sure who among loves NCIS as much as I do. But if you are a fan of the show and would love to do the tag, please go ahead and link back to me 🙂

  1. I generally love crime dramas but I’m not entirely sure if I’ve seen this one or not. I might have seen the odd episode but I’m not 100% sure.
I have a few of these on my TBR too (: hopefully I’ll get to at least a couple of them soon.
