It’s another Thursday and I’m back with one more wonderfully perfect tag which I saw done on Rebecca’s blog. This was originally created by Sofii and I have to thank both these amazing bloggers for such fun content. The Perfect Genre
What genre would your perfect book be?
💫 || Pick A Book That Represents Perfectly Its Genre || 💫
I had a tough time choosing because I kept hedging between Fantasy and Romance, but I’m going with Fantasy. And Queen of Shadows is one I would consider almost perfect for it’s genre because it has a fully developed world, amazing well fleshed out characters, stunning action sequences and a spectacular ending. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
The Perfect Setting
Because every story needs the perfect setting.
💫 || Pick A Book That Takes Place In A Perfect Place || 💫
I have loved many settings in different fantasy novels but a recent one that totally mesmerized me was the City of Noor in The Candle and the Flame. It’s a beautiful symbol of harmony and diversity and I completely fell in love.
The Perfect Main Character
Because every book needs that brave and amazing MC
💫 || Pick The Perfect Main Character || 💫
In recent times, Yumeko from Shadow of the Fox is a perfect protagonist in my opinion because while maybe a bit naive, she is full of kindness and compassion and will do anything to fulfil her commitments as well as save her loved ones.
The Perfect Best Friend
Because we always love that character who supports our MC, no matter what
💫 || Loyal and Supportive, Pick A Character That You Think Is The Best Friend Ever || 💫
Who else can I choose other than Rama from A Spark of White Fire, because he will go above and beyond to ensure his best friend Esmae lives and succeeds in her life mission.
The Perfect Love Interest
Although not all stories need it, we all love a bit of romance
💫|| Pick A Character You Think Would Be An Amazing Romantic Partner || 💫
I’m a huge fan of soft cinnamon roll male love interests, and one of my recent favorites is Silas from Superfan. He is just so sweet and lovable and an amazing support to Delilah.
The Perfect Villain
Because even when sometime we hate them, we always need them
💫 || Pick A Character With The Most Sinister Mind || 💫
If you know me at all, then you know that my answer is the Darkling from the Grisha trilogy. I have never loved a villain character more than him.
The Perfect Family
Our book wouldn’t be the same without that unconditional support from the MC’s family
💫 || Pick a Perfect Bookish Family || 💫
I mostly read a lot of books with found families, but one biological family that comes to mind is the Canning Clan from Him…. Jamie’s family are totally lovable and supportive and extremely fun. Ryan is one of my favorite characters ever and the way they accept him into the family makes me love them even more.
Perfect Animal or Pet
Because we all need a good loyal companion
💫|| Pick A Pet Or Fantastic Animal That You Need To See On A Book || 💫
I don’t actually have a lot of books that come to mind featuring pets but one animal figure I found very interesting and amusing was Mr. Kindly from Nevernight. What would Mia ever do without his sarcastic self, which makes him a perfect companion.
The Perfect Plot Twist
“OMG, how I didn’t see that coming!”
💫 || Pick A Book With The Best Plot Twist || 💫
Jade City was full of plot twists and I was so anxious while reading it that it took me almost a week to finish the book.
💫 || Pick That Trope You Would Add To Your Own Book Without Thinking || 💫
Best Friends to Lovers undoubtedly. I absolutely adore this trope and have probably loved every book I’ve read with it.
Because we all love a good, beautiful and artistic cover
💫 || Pick That Cover That You Would Easily Put In Your Own Book || 💫
I am Indian, so I have a very natural fascination towards Gold (even if I’m not that fond of jewelry). And this gorgeous cover of King of Scars is everything I could ever ask for in a book.
Because every great adventure has an ending
💫 || Pick A Book That Has The Perfect Ending || 💫
I have actually read quite a few books this year which had amazing endings but The Shadow Glass was just perfect. It was bittersweet but stayed true to the story and the characters, and made me not want to put the book down. I still can’t get the trilogy out of my mind though it’s been months since I finished it.
