TTT: Books on my Spring 2020 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish that now has a new home at That Artsy Reader Girl.

I think I’m getting a bit better at trying to read atleast a few books that I add to my TBR lists, so I’m continuing these seasonal posts. Some of these are ARCs, so I know I’m gonna surely read about half of them. And I’m always excited to read new releases. So, let me talk about some of the books I’m very excited to read this spring.

This is not a book I thought I would ever read but one of the book clubs I’m a part of chose this one as our BOTM and I have to give it a try. I also recently watched the Amazon series The Hunters which is pretty different but similar in some ways, so I’m hoping I’m still in the right headspace to read this one.

Me and a few other members of one of my book club have decided to read atleast a couple of the Nebula award nominees for this year before the winners are announced, so I’m very excited to read A Memory Called Empire very very soon.

I recently got this ARC and it is a story about three generations of women in an Indian immigrant family and I can’t wait to dive into it.

I have mostly read f/f romances in fantasy or sci-fi, so I think this book would be nice change and I would love to explore more sapphic romances in contemporary settings.

I’m always looking for more feminist writings and this one seems very important and unique because it focuses on intersectionality and how the movement which was supposed to have been for all women has forgotten about large sections of it.

Queen of Coin and Whispers is a sapphic fantasy featuring a Queen and her spymaster and I really don’t need to know more. Please release already….!!!!!

Most Likely is probably one of my most highly anticipated YA contemporary release of this year and despite being rejected for the ARC, I’m very very excited to read it as soon as it comes out.

Night of the Dragon is THE finale I’m excited for this 2020. Yumeko and Tatsumi and the whole gang have my heart and I can’t wait to know what’s gonna happen to them.

I’ve no reason to have put off The Tiger at Midnight for almost an year, but now that the sequel is ready for release, I think it’s time I dive into this desi inspired fantasy world.

I’m finally gonna try buddy reading The Way of Kings with Leslie @ Books are the New Black,. This book is a mammoth and I don’t even know how long it will take us to finish it, but both of us decided we will give it a try towards the end of Spring. Wish us luck!!

  1. So excited for Night of the Dragon! I hope you like A Memory Called Empire, it was on of my favorite reads last year. The Way of Kings is good too; it can be a bit of a slog in the middle, but that finale is sooo worth it, and Words of Radiance is FANTASTIC.

    1. I’m planning to start Memory called empire soon, so nice to know you loved it.
Way of Kings is definitely scary to start what with its size, and also that fact that I haven’t read any Sanderson yet… but I’m hoping I’ll like it just as much as everyone else seems to 😊😊
