Olympic Games June TBR

I may have never read the Percy Jackson series or any other Rick Riordon books, but I know how much everyone loves them. So, when I saw the announcement of this readathon for June, I knew I wanted to participate because all my dear friends are gonna be in it too. And I’m so so excited….!!!!

This is being hosted by Ishi, Ally, Nicole and Sasha and you can find more details about the readathon by checking out their YouTube channels or the official twitter account @OlympicGaames.

Now let’s get on with what I’m planning to read this month.

First, I had to find my godly parent. I was expecting someone more cooler but I guess I am Poseidon’s child for now πŸ˜‰

Mandatory Challenges

Gain favor of the sea god by reading a book set at sea or on the coast.

I just got the ARC of this book from the publisher a few days ago and it couldn’t have come at a better time. It promises high seas adventure, pirates and a mystery, and I’m completely here for it.

Poseidon’s son Percy is a talented swordsman. Read a book in which a main character uses a sword.

I only recently read The Tiger at Midnight and fell completely in love. So, I can’t wait to read this much anticipated sequel.

Humans are not a common sight in Poseidon’s underwater palace. Read a book with a non-human main character.

I have wanted to start this series for a while now, but always put off because there were other new releases to read. But finally the time has arrived for me to pick it up and I hope it’s as amazing as I expect it to be. And it has an Angel as a POV, so it’s perfect for this prompt.

Trident: Finish a book in 3 days

I usually wouldn’t take 3 days to read a romance novel but I’m sure I can stretch it out.

The ocean is vast and unexplored. Read a book you have not heard much about before.

I don’t know much about this book except it’s a historical fantasy, and that’s why it’s perfect for this prompt.

Advanced Challenges

A book published within the last 5 years.

I could have picked any backlist book but this adorable graphic novel is gonna arrive from my library soon, and I can’t wait to read it.

A book featuring magical creatures.

This is another historical fantasy that I don’t know much about but I’m sure there are gonna be some magical creatures in it.

A book with a blue cover.

I’ve only read some of the author’s crime thrillers and they were too dark for my taste, so I am very excited to read his ownvoices romance novel.

Are you participating in this readathon as well? Who is your godly parent? Are any of these books on your TBR? Let me know all the deets in the comments below or if you wanna hit me up for any buddy reads πŸ™‚

      1. Ooh this looks like a fun readathon. Good luck with it ☺️ I’d be interested in what you think of House Of Shattered Wings as it sounds fascinating. I feel like A Declaration For The Rights Of Magicans should be a good read too – that’s judging purely by the fantastic title though πŸ˜…
