It seems like these days I only read books if I sign up for readathons, and that too I seem to lose steam half the way. But atleast I am reading and I guess that’s what matters.
My August reading month wasn’t too bad even though I pretty much didn’t pick up anything in the last ten days. But it was as always fun to participate in Trope-ical Readathon again. I tried to read as many books as possible from my TBR and that was definitely satisfactory. This is how my final wrap-up looks like…
I found some interesting mix of favorites this month, notably – a Chinese web novel romance, Ni Shi Wo De Rong Yao (You Are My Glory); an author’s guide to surviving hard times through writing, Never Say You Can’t Survive; and the thoroughly entertaining Chinese history inspired Iron Widow.
And now it’s time for plans for the next month and this is a new readathon for me – Becca’s BookoplAthon. You can find all the details about it here.
As per the basic requirements Becca mentioned, I planned to only roll the dice 5-6 times but I ended up getting quite a few doubles. So, I decided to make a main TBR with my initial 5 + 3 (double) rolls of dice and these will be the prompts I will complete first. Just in case I finish them all, I have also rolled the dice to decide the next three prompts and we shall see if I can make it to them as well.
All the prompts marked in red are the ones I rolled the dice onto. Now, Let’s get into what I will probably read.
Time of Day
I will decide this one when I’m in the mood for something outside of this TBR.
Last Letter, First Letter
The, Of, A, An & And
And that’s it for my September reading planning. I can only hope I will get to as many of these as possible and have a good time reading them all 🙂 If you are participating in the readathon as well, feel free to share your thoughts, or TBRs in the comments below…
